 a doctor" is it incorrect to say "ella era doctora"? I thought when speaking in the past about long term situations (such as a profession) the other past tense was to be used. Will you please clarify? Gracias!

 Should your example of school being borring instead say "las clases?" Is not "la escuela" actually just the physical building? Also, shouldn't "las pizzas son asquerosas" be "las pizzas están asquerosas?" Unless you find pizza to always be disgusting.
án', perhaps the pizzas from Domino's are disgusting or simply those pizzas are (without a doubt) disgusting...--> son "est
án" could also be used, but there seems to be a nuanced meaning there (compared to other pizzsa.. etc)
